Tricky Interview Question: Sell Me This Pencil?

Okay, "sell me this pencil" is not a query as such but it is an traditional interview question that sales executives used to (and still might) ask probable job candidates.

This question may still be asked if you're not interviewing for a sales job just to see how you answer to it!

Answer confidently? See the employer in the eye when replying? Give quick and reasonable response? Give good quality responses to any query or fears the employer elevates? Try to get the sale and in reality sell the pencil?

Depending on what the employer seems for, they might simply be looking to see how you reply the question and particularly, what your body language is similar to during a tense circumstances.

The point is that little bits during job interviews, you get inquired questions that you weren't expecting that might seem off base and even ridiculous. Your skill to remain cool and to respond to the question sharply and in a rational way is usually what the interviewer will seem for.
